Description
The Silk Wyrm slithers through ancient realms as a deadly DnD creature. It coils like a massive serpent with a hard chitinous shell. His long body reaches over fifty feet and moves with eerie grace. It soars through the sky during daylight and searches for prey. Silk Wyrm waits until dusk to assume its shadow form and strike unseen. It slips into camps and attacks with cold precision.
A creature bitten by a Silk Wyrm must roll against poison or fall paralyzed for 1d4 days. Psionic powers still function if no physical movement is required. The Silk Wyrm drags its helpless prey into the wilderness. It wraps the victim in a thick sheath of enchanted silk. The trapped target lingers inside for up to two weeks.
The Silk Wyrm returns often and sinks its fangs into the victim’s neck. It drains blood and extends the paralysis by another 1d4 days. Each bite removes one point of Constitution. When the victim reaches zero Constitution, the wyrm drains the last drop of blood and ends his life.
Cities across the land value the wyrm’s silk casing as a rare crafting material. Tailors use it for costly garments with strong fire resistance. The silk grants +4 to saves against normal flames and +2 against magical fires. Adventurers struggle to cut trapped victims free because the cocoon resists blades.
This creature fits perfectly into DnD campaigns and fantasy board games. It challenges players with lethal mechanics and strong atmosphere. Its miniature works great for painting and offers rich textures for creative work. The chitin, silk, and serpentine scales give painters many options for color and detail.
