The Nightwalker is a powerful, sentient undead creature from the Plane of Shadow, also called the Shadowfell. It appears as a shadowy, wolf-like being with a vaguely humanoid form. Moreover, it embodies pure malice and delights in corruption and suffering. As a creature born of death and darkness, it commands immense shadowy power.
Nightwalkers rise from the shadows of exceptionally strong-willed and wicked mortals. Their relentless will and cruelty allow them to retain physical form after death. As a result, their bodies consist of pure shadow. They maintain a smooth, hairless, and vaguely humanoid shape.
These creatures are massive and imposing. They often reach the size of a house, yet they rarely exceed twenty feet in height.
