Description
Mecha Spider Scouts Set
The DSD1 dwarf spider droids, a formidable battle unit built by Baktoid Armor Workshop. Legion spider became a key weapon for the Commerce Guild. First deployed against rebellious miners in deep underground skirmishes. DSD1 quickly earned the nickname “burrowing spider droid” for its ability to maneuver through tight spaces. Armed with a powerful nose-mounted laser cannon, it could unleash both rapid-fire blasts and high-intensity bursts. Additionally, it proved effective as an anti-air weapon, as seen during the Battle of Teth.
Designed for versatility, the dwarf spider droid featured four articulated legs, allowing it to traverse vertical surfaces with ease. During the Battle of Teth, these droids clung to the cliffs of the B’omarr Order monastery. Droids securing an elevated vantage point to ambush advancing clone troopers and AT-TE walkers.
Throughout the Clone Wars, the dwarf spider droid became a staple of the Separatist Droid Army, clashing with Republic forces in numerous battles. Despite its durability, it had a key vulnerability—its exposed underbelly. Captain Rex exploited this weakness during the Battle of Teth, destroying one with a well-placed thermal detonator. To prevent capture, many of these droids were equipped with self-destruct mechanisms, ensuring they would detonate when compromised on the battlefield.
From the early skirmishes on Devaron to the decisive battles of Anaxes and Kashyyyk, the dwarf spider droid remained a relentless force in the Separatist war machine, striking fear into those who dared to oppose it.
