The Gibbering Mouther is a classic monster from the world of DnD, perfect for both gameplay and painting. This creature is another addition to our “DnD Monster Series” collection.
Gibbering Mouthers reproduce through asexual fission. When they have consumed enough nutrients to support two bodies, they split their amorphous forms down the middle. During this process, the mouther hides in a secure area, since fission can take up to four hours. Once the split is complete, the two newly formed mouthers move away from each other.
Moreover, every victim a gibbering mouther consumes adds another mouth and pair of eyes to its body, but only living prey can contribute to this growth.
Interestingly, some sages observed that bringing two gibbering mouthers together can cause them to merge, forming a larger, more dangerous creature.
