Gargoyle Character Profile
Gargoyles originate as stone statues designed to divert rainwater from buildings. However, an unnamed mage later granted them life, transforming these sculptures into predatory creatures. As a result, gargoyles resemble winged, demonic statues carved from rough, stone-like material.
They remain motionless for long periods, which strengthens their illusion of being inanimate stone. Moreover, they lurk in ruins and masonry, waiting to strike with sudden and terrifying precision. Gargoyles often swoop from above or leap from stillness to ambush their prey.
These creatures attack fiercely and pursue any target they sense. Additionally, they delight in inflicting pain and tormenting their victims. They torture helpless creatures and may even consume them simply to relish their screams. Although they do not need food, they still prefer hunting intelligent beings.
In essence, gargoyles embody cruelty, deception, and predatory patience while using their statue-like nature to dominate their surroundings.
